How to find a Limited Company’s previous names

Limited Companies are allowed to change their name. So if a company has changed its name how do you go about seeking the previous name information?

Here’s how:

• Enter the company number on the Companies House webcheck (the company number remains the same despite a name change), select “SEARCH”

• Previous names, along with the date of the change, will be listed under the “Previous Names” header
