“My company is not trading so I don’t have to file Annual Returns” – Not True!

This is one of the most common statements that we hear; “My company is not trading so I don’t have to file Annual Returns”. Unfortunately it is incorrect. Dormant companies have exactly the same Companies House filing obligations as trading companies.

Annual Returns and Annual Accounts (in the case of a dormant company, dormant company accounts) are required for all UK Limited Companies!
