Are the shares in my limited company paid or unpaid?

As a director, shareholder or secretary of a limited company, there are times when you will be asked if the shares within the company are paid or unpaid. So:

Paid

If the total value of allocated shares within the company is paid into a nominal account, the shares are paid.

Unpaid

If the total value of allocated shares within the company is not paid into a nominal account, the shares are unpaid.
