Government plans major cuts to Red Tape

Share

The government has recently announced that it plans to cut 160 burdensome regulations as part of the ‘Red Tape Challenge’.

Following the launch of the Red Tape Challenge website, businesses are invited to share their opinions and views on the rules and regulations that they deem difficult or redundant, eventually resulting in a break down of the barriers hindering British businesses today.

Prime Minister David Cameron said that it is necessary to ‘free businesses to compete and create jobs’ by looking at the current regulations closely and taking into account the views of those who matter – Britain’s businesses.

In cutting back on the bureaucracy and red tape, it is hoped that a more stable economic environment can be created for businesses, making life that little bit easier for all involved.
