What is a SIC Code?

When preparing an annual SIC Codereturn for your limited company you will be asked for your company SIC Code(s). A SIC Code (UK Standard Industrial Classification Code) is simply a five digit number that classifies your company’s principal business activity. Numbers range from 01110 (Growing of cereals (except rice), leguminous crops and oil seeds) all the way up to 99999 (Dormant company). To find your code click here.
