Backdating Director Appointments: How it works
When you appoint a director with Companies House (via the AP01 form of via our system) you are able to backdate the appointment. This is because Companies House take appointments “on good faith”. They allow you to do this because they are assuming that your company has the relevant documentation (meeting minutes, etc) that back up this appointment and more specifically the date the appointment was originally made.
