Two-thirds of Small Companies not offering Pensions

A report published by The Association of Consulting Actuaries (ACA) has highlighted the lack of pension opportunities being offered in small businesses.

The Smaller Firm’ Pensions Survey states “At present, two-thirds of the UK’s smaller firms offer no pension scheme”. 96% of those not offering pensions said the main reason was simply cost.

The government have stated all companies must offer pension options by 2016.
