What is… a Service Address?

When forming your Limited Company you will notice that Companies House request both a residential address and a service address for directors. The residential address is self-explanatory, the service address not so. In short the service address can be any address in the world where the director can be contacted via mail. The service address can be the same as the residential address. What should be considered when choosing a service address is that the address will be on the public register. It is because of this reason many people opt to use a different address than their residential address.
